Volunteer, Participate, Contribute

Teach A Course
LVILR usually offers 40 – 50 courses per semester. All are taught by members of the LVILR community, Cedar Crest faculty and other members of the general community. All instructors teach on a volunteer basis. In recognition of their contributions, they may take LVILR courses without paying fees, and are invited to our annual luncheon as our guests.

Courses generally meet once per week for 1 to 10 weeks, and class times usually range from 1 to 2 hours.

If you’d like to present a course, please send an overview to LVILRCCC@gmail.com. Please include the title, a brief description and an estimate of the number of classes and duration of each. Also, please include a brief biography indicating your experience in the area of the course you’re proposing. We’ll review your submission and contact you promptly.

LVILR needs help doing a variety of things including:

  1. Reviewing and evaluating new courses.
  2. Preparing mailings.
  3. Preparing and assisting at events (e.g., the LVILR annual luncheon).
  4. Assisting new members.

The specific needs vary during the semester. If you would like to volunteer, please contact us at LVILRCCC@gmail.com and let us know how you’d like to participate.

LVILR is a 509(a)(2) public foundation, and contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please note that tuition, membership and event fees do not qualify as deductions.

If you would like to contribute but have questions, please contact us at LVILRCCC@gmail.com, otherwise,
